Abstract

In the eastern part of the Bahmut hollow, very huge in scale synclinal structure of the Donbass, with the great help of the Ukrainian-Russian expedition, settlement of the Berezhnovsko-Mayovskaya timber-grave culture Chervone ozero-3 was investigated. It is the part of the complex of the mining and metallurgical monument of the Bronze Age, which is situated on the territory of the Kartamysh copper are occurrence. Three erections were investigated, one of which is built of bricks. The author comes to a conclusion about functioning of erections investigated as a single hole house-holding complex of the country-estate type. There exist some features of timber-house construction of the Pokrovsko-Mosolovskaya timber-grave culture of the left bank of Severskyi Donets («Г»-type constructions of the third chronological horizon of Kapitanovo-1 settlement) and brick constructions of the Berezhnovsko-Mayovskaya timber-grave culture of the Donetsk mountain ridge (type of house-holding complex-3 of Stepanovka settlement). This syncretism is not surprising as geographically Chervone ozero-3 is situated in the bound-zone, between two areas of two cultures timber grow formation – Pokrovsko-Mosolovskaya timber-grave culture of the left bank of Severskyi Donets and Berezhnovsko-Mayovskaya timber-grave culture of the Donetsk mountain ridge.

Number of labors appliances and different features are connected with the production of metal and they are evidence of the specialized character of settlement.

The analyses of the materials of the settlement Chervone ozero-3 gives author basis for the conclusion that it is regarded as a member of the group of the memorials of Stepanivsky type and is one of the earliest memorials of Berezhnovsko-Mayovskaya timber-grave culture in Donetsk mountain ridge. It is connected with the most active period of the functioning of the Donetsk mining and metallurgical center.
